FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Everything you need to know about booking your event or party with Free Spirit Gatherings. If you have additional questions about our party rental company feel free to send us an email and we'll be happy to help!

How far in advance should we book our party? 

We recommend contacting us 6-8 weeks before your party. Saturdays fill up quickly. Sometimes there are cancellations, so if you have a last minute party, please inquire.

How much is the deposit?

We require a $100.00 deposit to hold your date. Your final guest count is due 10 days before your party, which is when we will send your final invoice.

Do you offer a DIY option?

Yes! Do-It-Yourself parties are discounted 20%. If you would like to put your party together yourself we can deliver all the items on a Friday and pick them up on a Monday. Please note that we bring a large variety of materials to make your party and you will need to clear space in your home or garage. This DIY option is best suited for parties under 10 people. Unfortunately, the DIY option is not available for our movie nights or sleepover parties. Flowers are not included in the with the DIY option, but we will provide vases for your own flowers. 

How do I pay for my event or deposit?

Payment is accepted through Zelle or other bank transfer. If you would like to pay by credit card there is a 3% processing fee.

Do you rent just the table, chairs, or picnic tables by themselves?

No, we don’t rent those individual items because we have limited numbers available. 

Do you have a party order minimum? 

Yes, Our party minimum order is $200.00 

 

 

Do you have delivery fees?

Yes, we have delivery fees. Our fees are as follows….

Thousand Oaks, Newbury Park, Camarillo, Moorpark, $55

Agoura, Westlake, Somis, Oak Park, Simi Valley: $65

Oxnard, Ventura, Calabasas, Malibu, West Hills, Tarzana, Northridge: $90

Do you setup picnics at the beach?

Most beaches are now requiring permits for picnics. Unfortunately, they will ask us to leave the beach if we don’t have a permit. If you would like to have a beach picnic of any size you will need to try and get a permit several months in advance. They’re expensive and difficult to obtain. Please reach out if you need more info. There are lots of other public place options. Please inquire for more info.

 

My venue requires that my party planner carry liability insurance. Do you carry insurance?

Yes, we carry $2 million in liability insurance.

Do I need to wash the dishes after my party?

No, we will wash all the dishes and sanitize them, but we do ask that you scrap the food and rinse them. We will bring our containers to collect the dirty dishes. There is a cleaning fee for dishes that aren't rinsed.
